The repertoire is very varied, ranging from medieval sacred texts to
modern songs from the shows, and from folk songs to rock and gospel.
Liz Johnson,
a Birmingham based composer, has created some pieces especially for
the choir.
The choir has frequently performed works by Andrew Carter, and
welcomed his involvement in a singing day.
In June 2007, the choir took the Associated Board Examination in
Choral Singing and passed with a ‘B’ grade, “very good performance”.
