The choir is delighted to be associated with various organisations including Making Music and the government's Sing Up! campaign.  We also have a thriving ‘Friends of Bournville Young Singers’ group who regularly receive newsletters telling of all our current and forthcoming activities and detailing news of past and present members.  If you wish to become a Friend of BYS, please contact us through info@bournvilleyoungsingers.org.uk

Funding & Sponsorship

Members of the Main Choir contribute a small termly subscription of £30 which goes towards the hire of our excellent rehearsal venue and the cost of music.  We are a registered charity (no.1010449) and rely on parental contributions and fund-raising activities to run all our concerts and tours.  In addition, we have an active committee of volunteers, without whom the choir could not exist. 

We are always seeking individuals or companies that would be willing to sponsor the choir or support us in other ways to help us continue our work in the local community and beyond.  We are extremely grateful to all those who sponsor the choir, be they individuals or local businesses.  Their generosity ensures that more young people can pass through the choir having gained the multitude of experiences and achievements that it affords within a friendly, inclusive, yet artistically ambitious atmosphere.

Bournville Young Singers are delighted to have recently received the financial support of Birmingham company Truflo Marine, whose kind and generous sponsorship has enabled the choir to take a concert tour to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 (please see the What's On segment for concert details).
